Hello
families of the second grade class,
I hope
everyone had a fantastic weekend. It was
great to see families in person at parent conferences last week. I really enjoyed chatting about how your
children have been doing, and how much they have progressed since the beginning
of the school year. If we haven't met
quite yet, I am looking forward to seeing you soon.
I hope
families were able to play and see the Taco Cat mini golf hole our class
designed, if you were able to make it on Golf Day last Saturday at DBS. The kids worked really hard on it and I think
it came out amazingly. We need to give a
big Thank you to Mrs. Broderick, Mrs. Shepard, and Mrs. Lowery who helped us
organize the final part on Thursday, and get it in the Library before the
weekend tournament.
I also
wanted to add that at the beginning of April we are launching our Spring PBL
unit that is based on what makes a community a desirable place to live. A
portion of this PBL will center around the services that provide people with
things they need (education, healthcare, transportation, government, etc). That
said, we would like to invite parents to come in to speak to the second graders
about your jobs and careers so that the kids can have a better understanding of
these services. If you would like to come talk to the students about your job,
please sign up for a 10 minute slot HERE. We will combine both second grade
classes so that students can hear parents from both classes. We look forward to
seeing you! If none of these times work, and you would really like to come in,
we can find a different day and time.
If there
are any questions or concerns, always feel free to email me back. Thanks so
much and have a nice night!
Sincerely,
Ms. Mac
