Tricky Teamwork

The students are figuring out what is in the bag by only using their sense of touch.

Outstanding Observations

Everyone concludes that sand is very rough.  "It is heavier than shaving cream and lighter than play-doh when you hold it in your hands."  "It is very dry, more dry than any of the other centers!"

Little Scientists

The class is realizing that there are different textures to each material at the sense centers.  Play-doh is heavier and "harder to mold than shaving cream."

Crazy Creations

The class is exploring the sense of touch while experimenting with shaving cream!

Star Students

The students completed a class social learning project with our school counselor, Mrs. Lallier. They are looking so stylish!

Source of Sounds

The students are completing a sorting chart distinguishing between loud and soft sounds.

Five Sense Studies

Our class has been learning about the five senses.  For hearing, we read the book "Polar bear Polar bear what do you Hear?" by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle. Afterwards, we colored the beautiful illustrations in our own creative way.  We also did detective work and used our sense of hearing to identify animals based on their call, puring, or roar.

Real Lucky Rainbows

Saint Patrick's Day is coming up. We are getting a head start creating our own magic and luck!

Empathetic Energy

One of our classmates got hurt.  We are all making "get well" cards.  We hope it will cheer them up!

Filling Frenzy

Our school counselor, Mrs. Lallier, was teaching our class about how to "fill" our "buckets".  If we are kind, helpful, and respectful friends to each other, everyone's bucket gets filled.  If we get mad or say mean things to each other, that dips or empties our buckets. We all try to be bucket fillers at this school!

Fact Craft

The students were working on Abe Lincoln fact crafts, as well as sorting which coins have Lincoln and which coins have George Washington for President's Day!

Aging Gracefully

The students and I used an aging app, to see what we would look like when we are 100!

100th Day Celebrations

The class was busy at different centers completing "100th Day" projects, for our 100th day of school celebration!

Creative Cards

The students were creating Valentines cards for their parents! They were made with careful love!

Silly Scientists

Here are some pictures from when the Kindergarten through Third grade went to the Montshire Museum.  Unfortunately, I only captured students who were in my group or those who were near. All the students had a blast with the the hands on experiments.  We had quite a day!
